Clear 12 ft. plastic core tubes with catchers installed. Above, the tube is clamped into the head. After coring, it is cut off at the visible sediment-water interface (after draining off some muddy water above). Some indications of core structure can be seen through the clear tube wall, a big advantage at the site.
